Another True Life Adventure for… JAMES DUNCAN: “Please don’t touch me on the BUS” Guy!

I thought I’d take a crack at Robob again. It’s not the first time I’ve used this version of the little robot… He appeared in a Man-Man strip I wrote during the “Depression” storyline. Only it wasn’t Robob exactly… he was just an extra.

I started the story the same way I started the original… with a firing. It only seemed fit.

It was neat going to the show… Usually I sit at home on Saturday nights, watching stuff on tape with Jeremy, while Fran makes fun of us for watching such sucky TV shows.

Sorry… it’s a bad joke, but it always makes me smile.

Sorry… I had that song going through my head yesterday. I hate it when the radio forces a bad song into your mind, and you can’t get it out without plyers.

I’m still waiting for an answer from Harvey Pekar… I sent him a stamped self addressed envelope… but still nothing.  And the phone call… well, that’s a story for another strip.

And it wasn’t like he did it once… he chewed the entire bottle of water.  He’d take a sip, then chew it 10 or 12 times… I couldn’t make this up if I tried.

I still haven’t had time to read any more of that Popeye book… but hopefully I’ll be able to make time this week. 

P.S. There’s just something funny about saying “cracked open the open”.

I really don’t care about it… I have my own problems and concerns… and none of them involve celebrity weddings.
